Join our dynamic and forward-thinking Business Development team in introducing market-disruptive cybersecurity technologies into strategic new segments within the Industrial IoT industry. In this key position you will explore new business opportunities for the company, specifically for our IoT Security solution suite targeted to Connected Manufacturing and other IIoT markets. You will work closely with the global Business Development team, the CTO office, the IoT Security Market Unit, the Irdeto Services organization and the Sales teams. ​​​​​​


Business Development Director - Connected Manufacturing


Being a true expert with a proven-track record of solution-selling you will thrive in driving new opportunities from conception to delivery, develop sound business plans and deliver top-quality sales presentations to both business and technical audiences.

Our global business development team focuses on creating long term growth opportunities and business relationships for Irdeto by leveraging our core security DNA, technology/IP and services. The team is out in the field identifying security-related opportunities and establishing new relationships with partners and customers.



As a Business Development Director at Irdeto you will;


  • Create long-term growth opportunities for Irdeto in Connected Manufacturing and other IIoT markets
  • Focus on delivering engagements with key Reference Customers to work through market solutions to real-world problems and use cases
  • Develop long-term working relationships with potential customers and partners in strategic segments, selling security technology and services based on our unique software security IP.
  • Establish effective communications with appropriate executives - including C-level.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to organize sales/technical workshops with stakeholders, partners, and prospective customers.
  • Act as a regional spokesperson for Irdeto in the region while providing security insights to the media and industry publications.
  • Stay abreast of regional/global trends in IIoT/cyber security technologies
  • Drive the need for, and support development of, marketing strategy and materials for new solutions.
  • Drive the preparation of RFI/RFP responses for relevant cybersecurity solution opportunities.



Skills and experience we hope you bring


  • Significant experience (7+ years) in Industrial IoT - an injection of industry experience will be important in helping Irdeto develop these new strategic businesses
  • Min. 5 years’ progressive management experience; in a senior-level business development or sales position(s) in an international company.
  • Understanding of software/hardware security technologies and their integration into Industrial IoT and/or Connected Manufacturing eco-systems. An understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts is critical in setting the right direction for this strategy.
  • An understanding of key IIoT standards and methodologies (e.g. ANSI/ISA 62443, NIST SP 800-82, Purdue model, etc) and how to position solutions accordingly
  • High impact, dynamic, and visionary leader, with a record of business development results; an intelligent, strategic thinker with proven ability to achieve plans.
  • Preferably with experience selling or developing business with companies operating in Industrial IoT such as Siemens, ABB, Bosch, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, GE, Digital, etc
  • Excellent English communication skills, with the capability of articulating the company’s ongoing strategic vision into sound operational business plans and processes.
